Finance Charges
Interest Rate % p.a. on:
Retail Transactions
Based on prompt repayment of minimum or full payment for:
i. 15% p.a. : Last 12 consecutive months.
ii. 17% p.a. : 10 months or more within the last 12 consecutive months.
iii. 18% p.a. : Less than 10 months within the last 12 consecutive months.
Finance charges are calculated on the outstanding amount on a daily basis.
Cash Advance Fee
A Cash Advance fee of up to 5% or minimum of RM25 will be imposed on each transaction (applicable for Credit Card and Cheque-on-Call).
Balance Transfer / Cheque-on-Call / Flexipay / Flexi-on-Balance
A prevailing finance charge of 18% p.a. will be levied on the outstanding balance if the monthly instalment is not paid in full on time every month.
Retail Transactions
i. Interest Free Period
20 days from statement date – if all outstanding balance of the previous month is fully paid.
ii. No Interest Free Period
if Cardholder opts to pay partial or minimum payment within due date, finance charges on retail transaction (excluding Cash Advance or Balance Transfer / Cheque-on-Call / FlexiPay / Flexi-on-Balance will be imposed from the day transaction is posted to the card account.
Cash Advance Fee
A Cash Advance fee of up to 5% or minimum of RM25 will be imposed on each transaction (applicable for credit card and Cheque-on-Call).
Overlimit Service
A fee of RM50 will be charged only if Cardholder had exceeded his/her approved credit limit.
Minimum Monthly Payment
5% of the outstanding balance or a minimum of RM50, whichever is higher for
i. Credit Card
ii. Balance Transfer
iii. Easy Payment Scheme
iv. FlexiPay
v. Flexi-on-Balance
vi. For Cheque-On-Call Plus: The full amount of monthly installment due
Late Payment Charges#
Minimum of RM10 or 1% of total outstanding balance as at statement date, whichever is higher, capped to a maximum of RM100 per account.
Conversion Rate for Overseas Transactions
Determined by Visa International or MasterCard International plus administration cost of 1%.

Minimum Age
Principal Cardholder 21 years and above.
Note: I agree that the Bank is entitled to decline my credit card application if the Bank is made aware that I have two (2) credit cards including those which are pending with any bank/lender/financial institution before my credit card application with the Bank is approved.

RM24,000 : Classic / Gold / Business Gold
RM48,000 : Platinum / Business Platinum
RM72,000 : Preferred World MasterCard

If this happens, no contractual relationship arises between us and you; you consent to us retaining all supporting documents submitted by you for the processing of this application, regardless of whether this application is approved or not;

If your application includes any application for Supplementary Credit Cards, you acknowledge that the Principal Cardholder shall be liable for all cost and charges incurred under the Principal and all Supplementary Credit Cards, while each Supplementary Cardholder shall only be liable for the cost and charges incurred under his/her own Supplementary Credit Card;

If you are applying for a Credit Card, Personal Loan / Personal Financing or other credit facility, you confirm that you are not related to any of our Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad’s directors, employees involved in appraising, approving or reviewing credit facilities or controlling shareholders (“specified persons”) and no specified person is acting as your guarantor. If you are or become related to a specified person, or any specified person is or becomes your guarantor, you agree to notify us of the same of and your relationship with the specified person when you become aware of the relationship;

You acknowledge and understand that this EBS will include all your accounts which are not corporate, partnership, trust or estate accounts, or accounts which require more than one signature to operate;

You authorise us to send any Security Codes (as defined in our banking agreement), whether by ordinary post to your latest address, or by SMS to the mobile phone number in our records, or by other electronic means;

You agree to accept the risk of non-receipt and/or disclosure of the Security Codes to other persons, and you will not hold us responsible for any loss you may suffer as a result of such non-receipt or disclosure;

The mobile number provided in this form will be used to send you SMS Alerts and your One Time Password (OTP). OTP is required when adding new payee for fund transfer and/or bill payment. For overseas mobile number, please provide your country and area codes;
