Terms and Conditions
 
General for the offer:
1.
The promotion period is from 1 April 2012 to 30 June 2012 (the “Promotion Period”).
2.
The Priority Banking Member-get-member offer, is only applicable to referrers who are existing banking services customers of Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the “Bank”), including designated staff except the Private Banking frontline staff, Wholesale Banking frontline staff and Consumer Banking frontline staff who belong to Sales and Distribution, New Business National Sales, SME Banking and all branch staff (“Referrer”). In case of disputes, the Bank’s decision shall be final and binding.

Referrers cannot refer themselves and any staff of the Bank as new customers. To be eligible for the offer, the referee who has been successfully referred by one Referrer cannot be repeatedly referred by the same Referrer or other Referrers.
4.
Referrers must have obtained prior consent from referee(s) before they shall disclose the latter’s personal data (including but not limited to his / her name and contact information) to the Bank in relation to this Priority Banking Member-get-member offer and relevant account opening arrangement of banking services.
5.
The Bank reserves the right to vary, modify or terminate all the above offers, and to amend any of the terms and conditions from time to time without prior notice. Referrer’s eligibility to the offer, including in respect of the calculation of referee’s total balance at the Bank is to be determined based on the Bank’s latest record. In case of disputes, the Bank’s decision and record shall be final and binding.
6.
If there is any inconsistency or conflict between the English and the Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.
   
Priority Banking Member-get-member Offer (“Member-get-member Offer”):

To enjoy the offer, Referrer must refer a friend to sign up for Priority Banking Services (“Banking Plan”) during Promotion Period (“Referee”) with ALL the following terms and conditions fulfilled (“Successful Referral”):
 
a. Referee must NOT have any banking relationship with the Bank within the past 12 months;
b.
Referee has to take up or hold HKD Savings Account, HKD Current Account (or any Foreign Currency Savings Account), Priority Banking Credit Card, Standard Chartered ATM card, and Online Banking Services (or Phone Banking Services) upon the Banking Plan sign-up. Customer must complete the registration of Online Banking Services or use the Phone Banking Services at least once within 2 weeks from the date of signing up for the Banking Plan;
c.
Referee has to complete “Customer Investment Profile” questionnaire within 2 weeks from the date of signing up for the Banking Plan;
d.
Referee has to procure a New Fund Growth Amount (defined below) of not less than HK$1,000,000 within 2 weeks from the date of signing up for Banking Plan. Any amount of new funds deposited by Referee (by cash, cheque / cashier’s order, inward CHATs, telegraphic transfer from other banks excluding any transfer of funds from any accounts within the Bank) to grow his / her total balance at the Bank (including the aggregate balance of deposits, investments and accumulated premiums of selected insurance under personal account as primary accountholder shall be considered a the “New Fund Growth Amount”; and
e.
Referee is required to maintain the new total balance (that is, the New Funds Growth Amount) until the designated date below:

Member-get-member Offer will be given to Referrer as per table shown below:

The Bank will credit the amount of cash rebate, if any, to Referrer’s sole name HKD deposit account or sole name USD deposit account (only if Referrer has no valid Sole name HKD deposit account) in the following sequence: i) Current Account; ii) Statement Savings Account and; iii) Passbook Savings Account in the month of either August 2012 or October 2012. If customer has more than one account under same account type, the Bank will select any one of the accounts for crediting at its discretions with the latest opening date. A notification will be made to the Referrer upon the cash rebate is credited.
10.
For Referrer without any valid account as stated above in clause 9, shopping coupon (“Coupon”) of an amount equivalent to the value of entitled cash rebate will be offered as replacement. Usage of Coupon is subject to the terms and conditions stipulated by the suppliers. The Bank is not the supplier of the coupon and gives no guarantee to the quality of goods and services provided by the suppliers and shall not be held responsible for any liability arising in conjunction with the use or consumption thereof.
11.
Referees’ subscription for Banking Plan and the relevant banking products and services mentioned under clause 7 and the Referrers’ banking services with the Bank must remain valid at the time of the cash rebate or Coupon is credited or delivered to the Referrer under the offers above. Otherwise, the reward under the relevant offers will be forfeited absolutely and not be provided to the Referrer through any other means.
 
Investment involves risks. Customer(s) should consider their own investment objective and risk tolerance level, and also read the terms and conditions of the relevant investment products before making any investment decision.
